I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about Skin Republic’s Bubble Purifying and Charcoal sheet masks and had to try. I found it as Dischem for only R46,99, but for the online shoppers out there you can buy it from Takealot too.

Skin Republic’s Bubble Purifying and Charcoal Sheet Mask
So this mask has an oxygenating facial effect which cleans pores, exfoliates and brightens the skin to give a youthful appearance. When exposed to air the oxygenating mask begins to bubble and foam diving deep into the skin’s pores and eliminating impurities.
The charcoal in the mask is to assist with detoxifying. It is also formulated with a fruit complex containing tomato, lime, lemon, orange, apple and grape.
My experience
So I finally had a gap of time where I didn’t need to be anywhere or do anything. One of those rare moments in life which I think we all need to value and prioritise to avoid high stress levels. My immediate thoughts when I opened the mask was that the texture was amazing. Some masks I have used previously were very sticky and hard to handle. The second thought was how incredible it smelt. I felt like I was at a spa the smell was so rich!
The mask was easy to assemble (it does make you look a bit scary though!) and stayed on nicely for the full duration (15 – 20 minutes). It didn’t slide at all which has annoyed me in the past with some facial masks. After a few minutes the mask starts to grow all these little bubbles, and continues to do so until you look a bit like Father Christmas!
