There’s a few products we’ve all heard swarming around the beauty world for many years. The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream is one of them. It’s actually been swarming around for a bit more than “many years” – over 80 to be exact! (And the formula has remained unchanged). For a product to fly off the shelves for this long we know there has to be something special about it. I’ve had this cream for a while now and it really is something I like to take along with me wherever I go. It’s obviously fantastic for dry lips and minor burns, but today I’d like to share with you some other uses for it that you might have never heard of before. This little balm really is versatile, so allow me to divulge some other Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream uses!
This cult staple is in the bags of everyone for a reason! I absolutely adore this product and feel like even though it is a bit of a down payment price wise (R285) it lasts forever! I’ve probably had my tube for 2 years now and it’s only now getting a bit thin. I’d actually love to try some other products in the 8 hour range, such as the Intensive Daily Moisturizer and the Sun Defence.
Some Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream uses that might come in handy
- I’ll start with the most obvious / common reason : dry lips! Honestly this stuff is like a miracle bomb when it comes to dry or chapped lips in the winter. When my lips feel especially sensitive, I lather a bunch on before I go to sleep and I find my lips feel amazing in the morning. Because it’s quite shiny it gives your lips a little gloss too.
- Another thing I really struggle with is cracked or dry cuticles and I’ve tried so many hand creams. But I still find it doesn’t help! One of my standout Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream uses is for my dry cuticles. I’m pretty liberal with the amounts I apply (to be honest!!) and I apply a big glob to each cuticle on the nights they feel dry. I always see an improvement in the morning!
- Taming my eyebrows. I just pop a tinybit onto my eyebrow spoolie and shape my brows. It keeps them in place all day!
- Struggle to remove your mascara? Sometimes you have that tiny bit of stubborn waterproof mascara. I find adding a dash to a cotton wool pad and rubbing my eye gets that last bit off. It’s very gentle on your eyes!
- If you like a slight dewy complexion, I’ve tried before to add a little 8 hour cream where I would normally put highligher. It’s nice because it’s reflective but doesn’t add any colour.

- It’s great for dry skin in general! I know many people use it for dry elbows too.
- Apply the balm over bare eyelids for a glossy finish.
- Apply to cracked heels before going to sleep and leave on overnight! You’ll have wonderfully soft heels in the morning!
- Andddd also –frizz flyaways: If you’re needing to lock your hair style down, just a tiny bit of this balm will do the trick.
- Shaving relief. One of the nifty Elizabeth Arden 8 hour uses is that it works nicely for shaving nicks. If you’ve got a bit of sensitivity after shaving, why not give this a try.
- Not one I’ve tried, but I’ve seen some reviews saying you can also apply the product on bare skin at the highest point of the brow bone, right below the brow to help sculpt the area below your brow.
So there you have it ladies and gents, that’s my round up of all my favorite Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream uses and as you can see, this little tube is pretty versatile.
Pop me a message what you think of the product and if you have any other uses!
Have a fabulous week ahead xxx
I have gone through two tubes of this stuff – including one of the non-fragranced! It’s an incredible product, but I don’t like the non-fragranced one as it has a worse scent, and the original can be a little overpowering!
Overall, still something I’d use regardless of the scent. I’ve used Eucerin Aquaphor which is great, but still not quite as good as the 8 hour cream.
I’d like to try the lipbalm with SPF in it, and the night cream too!
Wow thank you so much for this Review ! Im actually struggling to find a product to cure dry lips and lip balms aren’t doing enough for me ! I’m definitely going to give this product a try, and the fact that it has so many other purposes? I’M SOLD! ♡♡♡
Thank You ☄☄☄
