Some uses for Sweet Almond Oil that you haven’t heard before!

I’ve never been one of those people who knew a lot about Essential Oils. I’d always see people on social media with essential oils for sickness, for skincare, for anxiety – even for baking! And I just was a little clueless. So last year when I attended a beauty talk at Ways of Wellness in Cape Town, I got some first hand exposure to essential oils for the first time. I met a lady there called Stacy who started her own business called African Secret which specializes in color, fragrance and soap free products. Many of Stacy’s products contain essential oils, and she introduced me to Sweet Almond Oil. And I’ll bet there are some uses for Sweet Almond Oil that you haven’t heard before!

Lately many people are turning to natural oils to benefit the skin, rather than skin creams and lotions that may contain ingredients harsh on the skin. (Obviously this is not all skin creams and lotions :)) But those especially with sensitive skin have found great benefits from essential oils.

So, sweet almond oil can be used for a variety of skin conditions, ranging from dry to oily. It can also assist with healing acne and decreasing the appearance of scars.

Sweet Almond Oil is especially good for normal, dry and sensitive skin and as well mature skin. While it has a wide variety of uses for your health, it also has many uses for hair and skincare!

To improve the appearance of stretchmarks

Another one of the uses of Sweet Almond oil is to assist with the appearance of stretchmarks. It has amazing emollient qualities that have a nourishing and strengthening effect on the skin. Massaging with almond oil promotes blood circulation, which effectively assists stretch marks.

Because this oil is rich in zinc, and a deficiency in zinc is what causes nails to be brittle and have white spots. In addition to zinc, almond oil contains B-Complex vitamins and iron which improve nail health. Just rub a drop on each cuticle!
