Every now and then you start to see a brand pop up a lot on social media. It piques your interest. You’re thinking- is this just hype or are these the products I’ve been searching for for a while to cure my xyz problem. That was me a while ago when I started seeing all this buzz on Mario Badescu and specifically the Mario Badescu Facial Spray. Who was this brand that all the skincare gurus were talking about? And are their products fab or what?
Recently I was fortunate enough to be sent a package of a few of some of Mario Badescu’s products. I was especially excited to receive the Mario Badescu Aloe and Rosewater facial spray. Not just because Rosewater smells like Turkish Delights (I have a terrible sweet tooth!). But rather because I have dehydrated skin and had high hopes this would help me.
For the purpose of this review, I’m going to talk particularly about one product in the goodie bag that I’ve been really enjoying the last few weeks. This is the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. However, if you’ve been following me on social media, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of the Whitening Mask as well!
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
Facial sprays are well used to hydrate dry and uncomfortable skin, as well as utilized to prep and prime skin before makeup and skincare products. Mario Badescu offers a few different facial sprays, but the Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater is described as their “cult favorite”.
It boasts ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Gardenia, Rose, Bladderwrack and Thyme. From their website they describe the product as one that: “Revitalizes with dewy radiance. Boosts moisture and glow.” And I can see why. This elusive dewy skin was something I always wanted but never had – my skin is more drier and tends towards dehydration.
When you first spritz the spray, you’ll immediately be met with the most amazing scent! It smells literally of Turkish Delights (it’s the rosewater) but also smells incredibly fresh and natural. You find an instant burst of hydration as soon as the spray hits your skin. It also helps to prep the skin nicely for skincare and makeup. I find myself adding a spray or two later in the day before going out for the evening.
Some ways to use the Mario Badescu Facial Spray:
- Use it to boost hydration by spraying evenly to cleansed and toned skin. Follow with moisturiser
- Use as a final step after your makeup application to help give your makeup a natural dewy finish.
- Use the spray to moisten makeup brushes, sponges, or your Beauty Blender.
Who won’t enjoy this spray?
If you prefer neutral scents, this product might not be your favorite!
What are the benefits of Aloe and Rosewater?
Rosewater has long been around as a skincare hero. It’s well known for its anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the redness of irritated skin, dermatitis and others. It’s also said to tighten pores, soothe skin and restore pH balance.
Aloe is very soothing and healing, as well as contains antioxidant properties. Aloe also has anti-microbial properties which has seen it being used as a facial herbal remedy to help heal blemishes and scars that may be created as a result of acne.
It’s addictive..
For those of you who follow me on my Instagram, you know every now and then my husband takes to some of my skincare products with fondness. Well the Aloe and Rosewater spray is one of those! He uses it too and thoroughly enjoys it.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you – you’ll find it’s very addictive to give your face a spritz! If you are looking for a facial spray at an affordable price from a reputable brand, Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe Herbs and Rosewater is definitely one that is worth considering.
*Disclaimer I was sent this product as a trade exchange. I was not compensated for this review, and in no way was a positive review promised. All thoughts are my own.
I definitely want to try this spray in the near future!
