Say hello to the Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules

The power of Retinol, encapsulated

This luxurious, lightweight, semi-translucent serum combines two of the biggest names in skincare in one, easy-to-use capsule: Retinol and Ceramides. Retinol being the clinically proven wrinkle-smoother and ceramides being famous for their moisture-boosting properties.  The capsules are also formulated to help protect against the dryness that is often associated with retinol.  Overall, this product promises to help your skin look more youthful in one month – with minimized wrinkles and better texture and tone.

Hold up, what exactly is retinol?

Retinol is a form of Vitamin A that can help increase the appearance of firmness, diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, it significantly improves uneven skin tone, smooth and finally refines the surface of skin as well. It’s really an anti-ageing maestro!

When should I start using retinol?

Most dermatologists advise introducing the product in your mid-twenties, particularly if you suffer from breakouts or pigmentation.

Why is this product in a capsule?

As powerful as Retinol is, it is extremely sensitive to light and air which can affect its stability. Putting the product into a capsule format allows not only a targeted and precise dosage, but also allows for a meticulous manufacturing process that helps to protect Retinol from light and air exposure. This ensures the potency of every application! So much so that in stability testing, the retinol in these capsules was 76% more potent compared to its non-encapsulated equivalent.

Key Ingredients of the Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules

My experience with the Retinol Ceramide Capsules

From the moment I first used the capsules, I could tell I was going to love this product. The way your skin feels is noticeably different – the texture is so much softer.  We all know that when it comes to anti-ageing, retinol is proven to be extremely effective (possibly the most effective!). However, I know that many people message me concerned about starting retinol. Perhaps their skin will go red, or be too sensitive or peel. Well, the Retinol Ceramide Capsules are extremely gentle on the skin! They are actually really suitable for people who have never used retinol before. Although if it’s your first retinol product I’d recommend using these capsules every second night to begin with.

Another thing I was quite happy to see was that the pores around my nose looked noticeably smaller (I have also done microneedling recently, but I used these capsules before I my microneedling).  I have used so many products to try get my pores to look a bit less visible, and finally I am seeing the power of retinol. I will definitely be incorporating these capsules into my beauty routine.

The original Ceramide Capsules

Elizabeth Arden originally released their iconic Ceramide Capsules in 1990. The first of their kind at the time, these capsules of youth focus on enhancing skins’ barrier repair function, increasing moisturization within the surface of the skin and minimizing the appearance of aging signs. The all new capsules combine retinol with the iconic Ceramide Capsules.

The reason for combining these two powerhouses is to combat the unwanted negative side effects of retinol that many experience. The, Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Capsules combine the miracle-working retinol with the skin barrier strengthening ceramides. The ceramides help the skin to maintain a healthy moisture balance and prevent the potentially drying effect of retinol.

Remember: Sunscreen is king!

Due to quicker skin renewal, your skin will be much more sensitive to the sun. So, it’s even more important than usual to make sure you’re adequately protected. My two favorites are the Elizabeth Arden Prevage City Smart SPF50 and the Heliocare Gel Cream.

Using of this product can be best as it is a combination of great ingredients. I have used avocado and olive oil which are helpful to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and other sign of premature ageing. I will definitely recommend this product. Thanks and keep sharing.
