We’ve all come to know and love the other capsules in the Elizabeth Arden range. Firstly, the iconic Ceramide Capsules that have been around since 1990. Then, the launch of the award-winning Retinol Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum blew us away as well. Now, we welcome the all new Elizabeth Arden Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules Radiance Renewal Serum into the fold and I literally couldn’t be more thrilled.
Introducing the Elizabeth Arden Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules Radiance Renewal Serum
This dry oil serum combines two powerhouse ingredients in one capsule: Vitamin C for its brightening superpowers and Ceramides, to prolong skin’s youthful glow.
I remember a while ago talking on my Instagram last year that incorporating Vitamin C into my skincare routines was one of the best things I ever did. Using Vitamin C regularly really helped to even out my skin tone and help certain pigmentation areas to look less severe. It was one of those moments in skincare where you just know something is effective. So when I got my hands on the Elizabeth Arden Vitamin C Capsules a few months ago, I was very excited!
What are the benefits of Vitamin C?
Vitamin C is a powerful vitamin that has been growing in popularity for its ability to naturally improve skin, fight signs of aging and improve collagen production.
Vitamin C helps protect your skin against sun damage. And, because it is an antioxidant, it naturally helps to strengthen your skin and repel things that could damage it. It’s one of the more effective products for treating pigmentation and lightening darker spots. AKA brightening the complexion – don’t we all want a bright, glowy complexion?!
Vitamin C is highly acidic and very bitter, so when applied to the skin, the skin is triggered to ‘heal’ itself by accelerating the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen is the protein fibers that make skin plump and prevent sagging; elastin are also protein fibers that help skin bounce back

So how does Elizabeth Arden take it even further?
Firstly, the capsules contain ultra-stable, ultra-potent Vitamin C and Ceramides to not only deliver optimal skin brightening, but also help nourish and strengthen skin’s natural moisture barrier. This helps to make your skin texture a lot smoother. These two ingredients work together to help visibly brighten, fight hyper-pigmentation and protect skin from free radical damage. This is especially for us South African gals exposed to harsh sun throughout the year!
Did you know that Vitamin C usually dissipates after three hours? Changing up the game, the Elizabeth Arden Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules Radiance Renewal Serum super charged with 178x more potent vitamin C. The vitamin C that they have used is ultra-stable to offer maximum efficacy and protection against external skin aggressors.
Additionally, they have also formulated the capsules with oil soluble vitamin C (instead of traditional water soluble). This optimizes delivery to skin’s surface as the oil in our skin is attracted to our oil-soluble Vitamin C.
Added bonus – the capsules are biodegrable!
- Vitamin C: Brightening powerhouse that visibly fights skin dullness and age-accelerating free radicals
- Ceramides 2 & 3: Help protect skin from moisture loss and prolongs its skin’s glow
- Clary Sage: Helps soothe skin from the effects of environmental aggressors
- Vitamin E: Works together with Vitamin C to protect skin against environmental aggressors and free radicals
- Avocado, Sunflower Seed, and Olive Oils: Impart skin with moisturizing and skin conditioning benefits
My experience with the Vitamin C Capsules
As I was mentioning above, incorporating Vitamin C into my skincare routine helped me to see changes to my complexion. I’ve got all the ‘normal’ pigmentation and scarring that a lot of guys and girls have – sun damage, old acne scars etc. Nothing overly noticeable. When I’ve been using Vitamin C regularly, my skin looks brighter, smoother and generally more glowy. Vitamin C is not a miracle product though – I’ve spoken before how tricky pigmentation is to treat. But – between exfoliation and Vitamin C- you’ve got the best combination possible! After a few months of continued use, you will start to see areas lightening a bit.
I love the texture of the Elizabeth Arden Vit C Caps – I put them on at night and wake up with my skin feeling soft and very hydrated. It puts all the right oils back onto your skin, banishing dryness and leaving skin super soft.
You could stand a chance to win not only a 60pc Vitamin C Ceramide Capsule for yourself, but also a 30pc capsule for a friend! The total value of the prize is R1624
