It’s always fun when a new brand lands on my beauty desk. Especially when said products are not only vegan, but are sustainable too! Nature Box has taken the beauty industry by storm and I was very happy to have received some goodies from the brand to try. Let’s dig in!
A little more about Nature Box
Nature Box is about pursuing better health and wellness, while respecting life, by adopting animal-free and chemical-free choices. Nature Box harnesses the naturally prolific vitamins and antioxidants sourced from 100 percent cold-pressed fruit and nut oils. Every product in the range is vegan and free of silicones, artificial colouring, sulfates and parabens.
Price Point
The shampoos and conditioners retail for a very reasonable R119,99. The body lotion has a RSP of R99,99. You can pick up the shower gel for R69,99
First Impressions
Something that immediately caught my eye is how colourful and fun the packaging is! The range I received- the Almond Range targeting volume- is a stunning shade of pink, and the brand design is young and fun without being overbearing. The bottles are tall and slim and really cute.
I love that the range is made with 100% cold pressed almond oil.
The body lotion comes in a 385ml with a RSP of R99.99. I absolutely love how easily it absorbs and it’s soft but not overly strong scent. The almond scent really comes through! The shower gel lathers very nicely and carries the same signature almond scent. It would make a lovely gift!
Perhaps most surprising was how soft and shiny my hair was after using the shampoo and conditioner. My hair is very thick and quite coarse so if I’m honest, I have relatively low expectations for most shampoo and conditioners. However, this combo applied really well and once my hair had air dried, it looked really glossy. It was surprisingly easy to brush too (that is no easy feat!)
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Nature Box products are neither refined nor processed, meaning all their valuable vitamins in the oils, such as A, B, C, D and E, as well as antioxidants and healthy fatty acids, are not lost.
What’s in the range
The product range is a total of 18 items- this includes ten hair care and eight body care products. The full product portfolio includes shampoo, conditioner and hair serum, and shower gel, body scrub and, body lotion in the body care range.
A range that is committed to sustainability
Nature Box’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in our collaboration with international development organisations and producers to ensure that they only use sustainably cultivated raw materials as well as support small farmers. Nature Box has committed to using sustainably produced palm oil from Nigeria. Guar, a raw ingredient in Nature Box products, and derived from the guar bean, is also sustainably cultivated in India. Furthermore, 25 percent of Nature Box packaging is made from recycled plastic.
