I’ve always loved the Eucerin range. It has the feeling of targeted, specialised skincare at a more affordable price than many other brands. I’ve pretty much enjoyed everything of theirs that I’ve tried. Recently I was sent some products from their relaunched Anti Ageing range, which includes the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler range, the Hyaluron-Filler+Volume Lift and the Elasticity and Filler range. Three ranges each targeting different stages of ageing. The Hyaluron-Filler range is most ideal for the first visible signs of ageing, so I decided to trial and review that range specifically.

Trying out the range

Although I also tried these products myself, I decided to do the proper trial on my husband, Cam. Those of you who follow me on Instagram know that he’s a pilot and spends a lot of his time exposed to harmful sunlight.  Airline pilots and cabin crew are occupationally exposed to higher levels of cosmic and UV radiation than the general population.  Also, constantly being in an airconditioned environment leaves his skin a bit dehydrated and dull. Hence, it’s always been an aim of mine to get Cam into a proper skincare and sunscreen routine. That’s why earlier this year I purchased him a bundle of sunscreen products from Eucerin. This was largely to do with the fact that they have a fabulous range of products that don’t make your face oily or look like you’ve applied sunscreen. So after incorporating the suncreen routine, I thought the Eucerin Hyaluron Filler range would be the ideal range to trial on Cam. It suits his combination skin, as well as is a nice simple routine for him to follow. Like many men, he doesn’t enjoy too much admin or too many steps when it comes to skincare.

The power of the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Range

Why is Hyaluronic Acid so important?

As skin ages, levels of naturally occurring Hyaluronic acid deplete. Consequently, surface lines and deeper wrinkles start to form.

So what’s in the range?

The range contains a day cream, night cream, a night peeling and serum as well as an eye cream. Something I really like about the range is that it caters for all skin types comprising of a choice of three Day Creams. All contain effective UVA and UVB protection to help prevent premature UV-induced skin-ageing and the deepening of wrinkles.

I put Cam on a trial of the night cream, day cream and the eye cream.

Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Day SPF 30  (R389.99 for 50ml)

The Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Day SPF30 is a creamy, thicker cream that absorbs very easily. It is a daily moisturising cream that addresses the first signs of aging. It also plumps up fine lines and even the deepest wrinkles for a rejuvenated look. Additionally, with SPF 30 and UVA protection, Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Day SPF 30 helps to prevent photoaging (premature skin ageing caused by the sun) and the deepening of wrinkles.

When I asked Cam his thoughts on the day cream, he said it absorbs very easily and doesn’t leave his face greasy later on in the day. His skin also looked more hydrated than usual after using this product for a few weeks. His usual drier parts of his skin looked much better. It was also good for me to know that even if he forgot his sunscreen, he at least had the SPF30 on!

Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Night Cream  (R389.99 for 50ml)

An advanced formula night cream to target and plump up even the deepest wrinkles from within. It is also suitable for all skin types. Additionally it also contains Dexpanthenol to support skin regeneration overnight.

With the night cream, a little really goes a long way. It’s very thick in consistency and spreads far, so I can imagine you can keep one jar for quite some time. It’s also packed with hyaluronic acid for hydration, as well as glycine-saponin to actively increase the skin’s own Hyaluronic acid production.

Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Eye Cream

The eye cream is an advanced eye care formula with SPF 15 and UVA protection to target wrinkles in the eye area, It is also ophthalmologically-tested. The cream has been formulated specifically to target ‘crows feet’ in the delicate eye area.

From a design point of view I always prefer an eye cream in a tube like this, because it’s easier to get the right amount of product out. When it comes to an eye cream you need very little product.  From my experience with the eye cream, the formula is very light and absorbs very quickly into the skin.

I love how simple and effective this range is. You know exactly which products to use, and when. This was absolutely ideal for Cam!

How do I know which Eucerin Anti-Age is suitable for me?

The Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler is generally suited best to those around 30. This is because it has been specially formulated to address the first signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles. It works to plump up even the deepest wrinkles for a rejuvenated look.

If your primary skin concern is sagging skin and a loss of volume and facial contours (as is often the case between the ages of 40 and 50), then the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Volume-Lift range. It has been specially formulated to plump up deep wrinkles and redefine facial contours for a lifting effect.

If skin elasticity and deepening wrinkles are your primary concern (most common for those over 50) then the Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler + Elasticity range is recommended.

The skincare routine is simple and you know you’re getting fantastic quality and targeted results.
