One of the most frequent comments I get asked on my social media is how to deal with pigmentation. Pigmentation is something that affects men and women of almost any age or life phase. Therefore when I learnt about the new Environ Radiance+ launch – I was thrilled to say the least. A whole range targeting pigmentation? Sign me up!
Although it’s difficult to treat, there are many exciting innovations in skincare looking to target issues such as this. In particular, this is why Environ’s new range is so exciting. Environs Focus Care Radiance+ Range actually targets the root causes of skin discoloration, dark spots, and uneven tone. If pigmentation is one of your primary skincare concerns, read on!
Firstly, what causes pigmentation and the formation of dark spots?
Melanin is a pigment that determines skin colour. The more melanin you have, the darker your skin tone, and vice versa. Specialised cells, called melanocytes, are responsible for producing melanin. Hyperpigmentation is caused by a result in excess melanin production. This can be brought on various factors, such as sun exposure, hormonal changes and even certain medications.
The Environ Radiance+ Programme Explained:
Environ have created a three step routine to give your skin everything it needs to target pigmentation. This Radiance+ system is called the 3-step Mela-Smart System and contains four innovative products that work together to stop the six steps that are involved in the formation of hyperpigmentation. I love how Environ says, “This is a real fix, not a quick fix”.
Step 1: Multi-Bioactive Mela-Prep Lotion
The lotion is formulated from a combination of highly specialised ingredients. Essentially its aim is to leave your skin complexion brighter and more even toned.
Where to use in your skincare routine: Pre-cleanse, cleanse, tone and then add the Mela-Prep specifically on areas with darker spots.
The Mela-Prep lotion has to be my favorite as far as textures go. It’s clear in color and very fluid – it actually feels similar to an essence. It absorbs into the skin very quickly, leaving it feeling very nourished and hydrated.
Step 2: Vita-Botanical Mela-Fade Serum System
Step two consists of two serums that work together. Both Serum A and B contain a unique combination of vitamins and botanicals, and when used together they are a powerful weapon in combatting pigmentation. You use them simultaneously – equal amounts of each.
The serums are able to target the root causes of skin discolouration because of their powerhouse formulations. What is their aim? To improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and visible sun damage.
With regards to the texture, I must say I find it quite refreshing. It is incredibly lightweight and fast absorbing, leaving skin feeling fresh. They do make your skin more sensitive to sunlight so make extra sure to apply SPF.
Step 3: Intense C-Boost Mela-Even Cream
The Mela-Even is a technologically advanced vitamin C infused cream. Your skill will appear more evenly radiant and healthier-looking after consistent use. Contrarily to the Mela-Prep, the texture is one of a more traditional cream and the formula is quite creamy. However, it is not thick at all and is very hydrating.
Who is the range suitable for?
Environ’s Radiance+range is suitable for all skin types and tones. It can be used in conjunction with the Vitamin Step-Up System™ routine.
My journey
Pigmentation is something that I have been concerned about for a few years. I think mine is from potentially from years of mild sun damage and hormonal changes. Even though I have gone for microneedling which has helped a lot, I know I’ll need some good skincare products to assist on an on-going basis.
I’ve been using the Radiance+ range for three weeks now and have thoroughly enjoyed each one. I’ll continue to use them and will report back to you guys what I think! However, so far I have been very impressed. The formulas of the products are really lovely, and the packaging is great too. Most have a pump – which I love! They absorb quickly and leave the skin feeling hydrated and smooth!
Follow me on Instagram for check-ups on the products in the coming weeks.
The Environ Radiance+ is a targeted approach
Pigmentation is something that can effect anyone. Hyperpigmentation is caused as a result of increased melanin in the skin and can be a result of sun damage, birth control, acne, inflammation, pregnancy, or even prescription drugs.
The Environ Radiance+ 3 step system targets the root causes of skin discolouration. As a result, if you are concerned about pigmentation then this range might be exactly what you’re looking for.
I am such a fan of environ products, they work so well.
