For me, finding a good face sunscreen is so tricky. They are either too thick in formula, too white and hence leave a film later on or just the scent is overpowering. And then, you find the right one but your eyes burn like crazy after swimming. The NeoStrata Sheer Physical Protection SPF 50 is an ultra sheer, physical broad spectrum sunscreen which provides protection from UV radiation and DNA damage. When I’m spending extensive time in the sun I prefer to use none less than SPF40 or 50. I also absolutely LOVE that this product contains antioxidants as well. It’s packed with potent antioxidants such as Green Tea Extract, Lactobionic Acid & Vitamin E work to neutralize free radicals and help preserve healthy DNA.

The formula of the Neostrata Sheer Physical Protection is what stood out to me. It is quite runny in texture, which allows it to apply quick and absorb fast as well. Because it’s thin, it doesn’t sit like a big, uncomfortable layer on the skin. Rather, it’s almost not even that noticeable. It has a mattifying effect as well, so none of that greasy business! (Don’t be alarmed when you first apply it, it looks oily but settles into a matte finish!)

Core Ingredients
Key ingredients include Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide to provide broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. These work with an antioxidant PHA/Bionic complex to help preserve and strengthen skin. Additionally, it also contains iron oxide which protects against Visible Light.
Coverage
The product describes itself as having a ‘sheer tint’ which is very sheer indeed. It’s lovely under makeup but also works nicely on those ‘no-makeup’ days.
