Introducing the new Bioderma PigmentBio for evening and brightening the skin.

Even skin tone is a concern that so many people have! For myself, I used to feel so self-concious about my skin and wish to feel super confident without makeup. Unfortunately, there is no ‘quick fix’ for hyperpigmentation – it requires a consistent skincare routine with the right ingredients. Recently Bioderma have launched their new PigmentBio range – a range specifically targeting pigmentation.

What causes hyperpigmentation?

Hyperpigmentation is caused by an increase in melanin. Melanin is the natural pigment that gives our skin, hair and eyes their color. A number of factors can trigger an increase in melanin production, but the main ones are sun exposure, hormonal influences, age and skin injuries or inflammation.

What is unique about the Bioderma PigmentBio range?

The Bioderma PigmentBio range offers a comprehensive routine for sensitive skin wanting to combat pigmentation problems effectively. It contains LumiReveal™ Technology, which acts on the key steps of pigmentation: to reduce dark spots, prevent new ones from appearing and restore the skin’s original brightness, lastingly.  Furthermore, it has a unique balance between efficacy and tolerance ensures immediate and long lasting results, while respecting skin sensitivity.

What’s in the range

H20 Micellar Water

Absolutely amazing for removing makeup on the face and even around the eye area. It also contains a unique formula that regulates the biological mechanisms that cause dark spots for brightening effect and optimum prevention. It is also unfragranced and suitable for sensitive skins.

Exfoliating Foaming Cream

This is a brightening cleanser that promotes the disappearance of dark spots and keeps them from reappearing. It also contains AHAs (citric acid)  and natural micro-beads that gently exfoliate, remove impurities and smooth the complexion, revealing skin’s brightness. Moisturising ingredients such as coco glucoside and glyceryl oleate help to improve hydration and leave the skin comfortable.

Unfortunately Cam has claimed this product as his own. He absolutely loves it and it has moved up to a firm favorite in his list. It provides such a gentle exfoliation and leaves your skin feeling very soft!

Night Renewer

Pigmentbio Night Renewer boosts cell renewal and collagen production for a plump and brighten skin in the morning. It also helps to reduce melanin production. In addition, Pigmentio Night renewer contains a specific active ingredient that boosts collagen production to improve skin’s elasticity. It has a very nice, mask like texture.

Daily Care SPF50+

An absolute gem of a SPF! Pigmentbio Daily care SPF50+ features LumiReveal™ Technology, inspired by the leading treatments used by dermatologists, to effectively correct dark spots. It helps reduce melanin production and boosts cell renewal to promote the elimination of installed dark spots and unify the complexion.

The formula of this sunscreen is not oily at all and absorbs so quickly! It sits very nicely under makeup as well.

Bioderma for Sensitive Areas

They have also launched a product for sensitive areas – such as knees, elbows, underarms, thighs, groin. It acts effectively on hyperpigmentation and provides a very good tolerance, so that it can be used on the most delicate areas. Pigmentbio Sensitive Areas soothes the skin and helps prevent the redness responsible for differences in skin colour

So far I am really loving this range. The Bioderma PigmentBio comes it at a fantastic price point and is also so good for people with sensitive skin. Definitely give it a try if you’re looking for products that target these concerns.
